Laundry presser — Franklin County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a laundry presser in Franklin County, Virginia. The job is in a busy laundry. Ideal candidate: • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases Day to day you will keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure; press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching; clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents; remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron; hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing; check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots. At least 5 year(s) in a similar role. Six days a week, one day off. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Walk-in interviews this week.
