Core maker — Saint James Parish

We are recruiting: we are hiring a core maker in Saint James Parish, Louisiana. The role involves: • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand Requirements: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding Part-time with flexible hours.
