Vacancy available: we are hiring a shakeout operator in Barnsley, England. What we are looking for: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor You will carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
