Foundry operative — Baure

Great opportunity: we are hiring a foundry operative in Baure, Katsina State. The job is in a non-ferrous casting shop. Day to day you will inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture. What we are looking for: • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Basic grinding and fettling skills Part-time with flexible hours.
