CO2 welder wanted in Blackpool

Great opportunity: we are hiring a CO2 welder in Blackpool, England. You will work at a busy production line. Requirements: • Knowledge of short-circuit and spray-transfer modes • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently • Able to read weld symbols and fabrication drawings Your main tasks: • Bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding • Set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness • Weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions • Clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead • Maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose • Tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing Pay around £95 per day, based on your experience.
