Cement mason — Greene County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a cement mason in Greene County, Iowa. The job is on a road and bridge project. Ideal candidate: • ITI in masonry or civil work an added advantage • Able to read structural drawings and bar bending schedules • Willing to wear safety boots, helmet and full PPE Day to day you will erect and align timber and steel shuttering before each pour; give broom or steel-trowel finishes as specified; cure slabs by ponding, wet hessian or curing compound for the required days; discharge and place concrete from transit mixers and pumps into the forms; cut control and expansion joints at the correct spacing; fix and tie reinforcement bars and mesh as per the bar bending schedule. 6+ years on the tools preferred. Six days a week, one day off. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Walk-in interviews this week.
