The role involves: • Set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift • Form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions • Bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine • Lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors • Check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour Requirements: • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
