TIG welder wanted in Lipscomb County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a TIG welder in Lipscomb County, Texas. The job is in a stainless steel kitchen-equipment unit. On the job you will handle: • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage 6+ years on the tools preferred. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
