The role involves: • Strip out lights, mouldings and trims before repair • Buff and polish the finished panel to remove imperfections • Measure and set panel gaps for an even shut line • Straighten chassis and frames on a jig bench with pulling chains • MIG-weld and spot-weld new panels into place • Feather-edge old paint and prime bare metal before respray You should have: • Steady hand for filler work and block sanding • Skilled in MIG welding and panel replacement • Confident reading insurance estimates and damage reports Pay around $3,700 per month, based on your experience.
