Now hiring: we are hiring a gtaw welder in Hamblen County, Tennessee. The job is at a stainless steel fabrication shop. Requirements: • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day The role involves inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion; back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring); control heat input so thin sheet does not warp; weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges; set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal.
