You should have: • Able to read basic scaffold drawings • Awareness of TG20 and SG4 safe working practice • Knowledge of safe loading, bracing and tie patterns On the job you will handle: • Set out base plates and sole boards on firm, level ground • Fix transoms and bracing to keep the structure square and rigid • Erect tube-and-fitting and system scaffolds such as Cuplok and Kwikstage • Inspect couplers, boards and tubes for damage before use Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
