Now hiring: we are hiring a dogger in Shani, Borno State. You will work on an offshore oil and gas platform. You will inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use; read lift plans and method statements before starting; attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks; carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle; rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position. Requirements: • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
