Urgent requirement: we are hiring a press shop operator in Somerset, England. You will be based at a white goods manufacturing plant. Requirements: • ITI in fitter, machinist or sheet metal trade preferred • Attention to detail and steady hands for accurate loading The role involves: • Apply die lubricant and keep the tooling clean • Punch, blank, pierce, bend and form sheet metal components • Top up the press hydraulic oil and grease the slide ways • Feed blanks into the die and remove formed parts • Record output and downtime on the production sheet • Adjust press stroke, shut height and tonnage settings Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
