GTAW welder — Washington County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a GTAW welder in Washington County, Colorado. What we are looking for: • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection Day-to-day duties: • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise Rotating shifts. Meals and transport allowance provided. We offer $4,000 per month plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
