Immediate opening: we are hiring an argon welder in Mitchell County, Texas. You will work at a busy fabrication workshop. The role involves keep the arc length and travel speed consistent; TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer; tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run; back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal; feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool. You should have: • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols Rotating shifts.
