Argon welder • Atchison County, Kansas

We are recruiting: we are hiring an argon welder in Atchison County, Kansas. You will be based in a sheet-metal fabrication unit. Your main tasks: • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish • Keep the arc length and travel speed consistent • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size What we are looking for: • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage Full-time with occasional weekends.
