Furnace operator — Pocahontas County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a furnace operator in Pocahontas County, Iowa. The job is at a brass and bronze foundry. You should have: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding Your main tasks: • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring 5+ years on the tools preferred.
