Machine operator • Macon County, Alabama

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a machine operator in Macon County, Alabama. You will be based in a CNC machine shop. Requirements: • Able to stand for long hours on the shop floor • ITI or diploma in fitter or machinist trade an advantage • 1-2 years' experience operating production machinery The role involves top up coolant, lubricant and hydraulic oil levels; carry out daily clean-down and 5S of the work station; run the first-off piece and check it against the drawing; clear jams and remove rejected parts from the line; follow lockout-tagout before cleaning or clearing the machine; key in cycle parameters such as speed, feed rate and temperature.
