Immediate opening: industrial sewing operator (Iowa)

Immediate opening: we are hiring an industrial sewing operator in Mitchell County, Iowa. The job is on a ready-made garment production line. Requirements: • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens The role involves: • Meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality • Stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance • Inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes • Clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift Six days a week, one day off. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Walk-in interviews this week.
