Vacancy available: we are hiring a bricklayer in Funakaye, Gombe State. The job is at a renovation and extension job. The role involves: • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints • Building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays • Erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts You should have: • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding Six days a week, one day off.
