Great opportunity: stitching operator (England)

Join our team: we are hiring a stitching operator in Southend-on-Sea, England. You will work on an export house sewing floor. What we are looking for: • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching • Quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams The role involves: • Topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish • Clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift • Press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges • Sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required • Meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality Six days a week, one day off.
