Argon welder — Haskell County

Vacancy available: we are hiring an argon welder in Haskell County, Kansas. You will be based in a pharmaceutical piping facility. Day-to-day duties: • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding You should have: • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight Overtime paid at a premium rate.
