Cement mason — Arenac County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a cement mason in Arenac County, Michigan. The job is at an infrastructure site. Day-to-day duties: • Carry out slump tests and cast cubes for the lab • Erect and align timber and steel shuttering before each pour • Cure slabs by ponding, wet hessian or curing compound for the required days • Lay PCC blinding and the damp-proof membrane over the prepared subgrade • Fix and tie reinforcement bars and mesh as per the bar bending schedule • Float and trowel surfaces with a bull float and power trowel for a smooth finish What we are looking for: • Able to read structural drawings and bar bending schedules • Hands-on with poker vibrators, power floats and concrete mixers • Sound knowledge of concrete grades, slump and curing periods At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
