Now hiring: fabricator-welder (Alaska)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in Aleutians West Census Area, Alaska. You will be based in a pharmaceutical piping facility. You should have: • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through On a typical shift you will inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion; feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle; select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job; grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; control heat input so thin sheet does not warp; prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run. At least 6 year(s) in a similar role. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
