Urgent requirement: fusing press operator (Illinois)

Now hiring: we are hiring a fusing press operator in Macon County, Illinois. You should have: • Physically fit to lift bundles and handle repetitive work • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings On the job you will handle: • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics • Press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching • Operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments • Sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number • Fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
