Join our team: we are hiring a shuttering carpenter in City of Hopewell, Virginia. You will be based at a reinforced concrete building site. Ideal candidate: • Skilled with circular saw, hand tools and spirit level • Knows de-shuttering times and concrete curing The role involves: • Brace and strut the formwork to stop movement during the pour • Read formwork drawings and setting-out marks to position the shutters • Cut and assemble plywood and timber panels for columns, beams and slabs • Erect wall and column formwork to line, level and plumb Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
