Foundry worker wanted in Franklin County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a foundry worker in Franklin County, Indiana. Day to day you will cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring. Ideal candidate: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
