Banksman — Lawrence County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a banksman in Lawrence County, Mississippi. Day to day you will check sling angles to stay within the working load limit; guide loads through tight openings into their final position; calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift; read lift plans and method statements before starting; establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area; secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists. Ideal candidate: • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket • Confident with standard crane hand signals • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces Pay around $4,900 per month, based on your experience.
