Day to day you will select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job; run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints; grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions. Ideal candidate: • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances $4,900 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
