Pressman — Baldwin County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a pressman in Baldwin County, Alabama. The job is at a garment factory. Your main tasks: • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board • Meet the daily piece target without damaging garments • Keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure • Sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number • Spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts What we are looking for: • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment • Physically fit to lift bundles and handle repetitive work • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. $4,200 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Meals and transport allowance provided. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
