Production welder — Jefferson County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a production welder in Jefferson County, Idaho. The job is at a steel fabrication workshop. Your main tasks: • Bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding • Lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints • Weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions • Check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration • Tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing What we are looking for: • Steady hand and good eyesight for tight tolerances • Knowledge of short-circuit and spray-transfer modes • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. Six days a week, one day off. Meals and transport allowance provided. Pay around $200 per day, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
