CNC programmer-operator — Herkimer County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a CNC programmer-operator in Herkimer County, New York. You will be based at an automotive components factory. The role involves: • Set up and operate vertical and horizontal milling machines • Mount workpieces in machine vices, clamps and fixtures and check for square • Set spindle speeds and feed rates to suit the material and cutter • Hold close tolerances down to ±0.02 mm • Measure features with vernier callipers, micrometers and bore gauges • Set tool offsets and the work zero (G54) using an edge finder or probe Ideal candidate: • ITI/NCVT certificate in machinist or turner trade • Proficient with micrometers, vernier callipers and dial gauges On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
