We are recruiting: we are hiring a groundworker in Kendall County, Texas. You will be based on a commercial building project. You should have: • Punctual and ready to do overtime when a pour demands it • Willing to work outdoors in heat, dust and rain • Able to follow the mason's and supervisor's instructions Your main tasks: • Erect and dismantle scaffolding and pass materials up • Mix concrete and mortar to the correct ratio, by hand or in a pan mixer • Carry bricks, cement bags and sand up to the masons on site • Bend and tie rebar with binding wire for slabs and columns • Clear debris and sweep the slab before the next pour • Cure freshly laid concrete by sprinkling water for several days Six days a week, one day off.
