Cake decorator — Piatt County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a cake decorator in Piatt County, Illinois. The job is at a busy bakery. Ideal candidate: • Able to stand for long hours in a hot kitchen • Able to work early-morning and night shifts You will score the top of loaves before baking; decorate cakes with icing, fondant and fresh cream; rotate stock and follow FIFO on raw materials; weigh and mix flour, yeast, water and salt to the day's recipe; grease and clean baking trays, tins and moulds; prove dough in the proofer at the right temperature and humidity. Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. We offer $3,100 per month plus benefits. Meals and transport allowance provided. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
