Rigger — Hancock County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a rigger in Hancock County, Mississippi. The job is in a heavy machinery workshop. Requirements: • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Confident with standard crane hand signals • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles Day-to-day duties: • Inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use • Attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks • Tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear • Take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings • Secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists • Rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough. $29 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
