We are recruiting: we are hiring a vacuum press operator in Lawrence County, Illinois. You will work at a textile finishing unit. What we are looking for: • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases • Physically fit to lift bundles and handle repetitive work Day-to-day duties: • Remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics • Press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching • Sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number • Meet the daily piece target without damaging garments • Clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents Six days a week, one day off.
