Now hiring: we are hiring a commis chef in Page County, Iowa. You will be based at a fast-food outlet. On the job you will handle: • Chop, dice and portion vegetables, fish and meat • Taste and adjust seasoning for consistency • Follow standardised recipes and stick to portion sizes • Knead dough and bake breads such as roti, naan and paratha • Prepare stocks, sauces and soups from scratch • Check deliveries and rotate stock using FIFO Requirements: • Good teamwork and clear communication under pressure • 2+ years' experience as a cook in a busy kitchen • Food hygiene / FoSTaC certificate At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
