Now hiring: we are hiring a nursery worker in Atascosa County, Texas. You should have: • Happy to work outdoors in all weather • Pesticide spraying certificate (PA1/PA6) an advantage • Valid driving licence for travel between sites Your main tasks: • Water beds and lawns and set up drip irrigation lines • Spray pesticides and fungicides to control pests and disease • Plant seasonal bedding plants, bulbs and saplings • Maintain compost heaps and the potting shed • Mow and edge lawns with petrol and ride-on mowers • Prune hedges, shrubs and ornamental trees with secateurs and hedge trimmers Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
