Foundry worker — Garum Mallam

Immediate opening: we are hiring a foundry worker in Garum Mallam, Kano State. You will be based on the moulding line. On the job you will handle: • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities Ideal candidate: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts 4+ years on the tools preferred.
