Sewing machine operator — Hughes County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a sewing machine operator in Hughes County, South Dakota. The role involves operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line; clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift; keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line; set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers; attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet; press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges. What we are looking for: • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
