Sewing machine operator • Summit County, Ohio

Immediate opening: we are hiring a sewing machine operator in Summit County, Ohio. You will work in a small denim manufacturing unit. You will keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line; trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go; clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift; inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes; attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet; operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line. Requirements: • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown • Quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
