Great opportunity: we are hiring a fusing press operator in Louisa County, Iowa. The job is in a garment export house. What we are looking for: • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment On a typical shift you will set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics; remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron; press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching; clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents; shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board; check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots.
