We are recruiting: we are hiring a fettler in Chippewa County, Wisconsin. The role involves: • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring You should have: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal Rotating shifts.
