Core maker • Silver Bow County, Montana

We are recruiting: we are hiring a core maker in Silver Bow County, Montana. Day-to-day duties: • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring What we are looking for: • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry Full-time with occasional weekends.
