Join our team: brick and block layer (Illinois)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a brick and block layer in Shelby County, Illinois. The job is at a groundworks and structures site. Day-to-day duties: • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go • Raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish • Building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses • Bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters What we are looking for: • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) Full-time with occasional weekends. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. $3,800 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Contact us to fix an interview.
