Great opportunity: we are hiring a milling machine operator in Jefferson County, Kansas. The role involves set up and operate vertical and horizontal milling machines; measure features with vernier callipers, micrometers and bore gauges; mount workpieces in machine vices, clamps and fixtures and check for square; load and edit CNC programs (G-code) at the Fanuc/Siemens control; carry out daily lubrication and routine machine maintenance. Ideal candidate: • Proficient with micrometers, vernier callipers and dial gauges • Able to grind and set HSS cutters 2+ years on the tools preferred. $2,900 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
