Elevator technician wanted in Polk County

Vacancy available: we are hiring an elevator technician in Polk County, Oregon. The job is on a lift modernisation project. Day-to-day duties: • Service the traction motor, brake and gearbox • Rope up the traction machine and reeve the hoisting cables • Test buffers, final limit switches and the emergency brake • Measure rope tension and check for broken strands • Wire up the controller, encoder and limit switches • Adjust door operator timing and re-levelling accuracy Requirements: • Working knowledge of EN 81 / IS 14665 lift safety standards • Valid driving licence for site call-outs Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. Six days a week, one day off. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Walk-in interviews this week.
