Brick mason — Caldwell County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a brick mason in Caldwell County, North Carolina. You will be based on a scaffolded high-rise site. What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day Day to day you will installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays; setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge; mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser; brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go; checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod. Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. Rotating shifts. Pay around $2,900 per month, based on your experience. Share your details and we will call you back.
