Semi-automatic welder • Kent County, Rhode Island

Now hiring: we are hiring a semi-automatic welder in Kent County, Rhode Island. You will work at a pipe and tank fabrication yard. The role involves: • Check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration • Tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing • Grind back and re-weld any defective runs • Read fabrication drawings and weld symbols • Lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints • Maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose You should have: • Able to pass a 3G/4G plate test • Comfortable welding mild steel, stainless and aluminium Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
