Great opportunity: we are hiring a structural MIG welder in Curry County, Oregon. You will work in a sheet-metal fabrication unit. Requirements: • Able to pass a 3G/4G plate test • Willing to work shifts and overtime • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently Day-to-day duties: • Maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose • Bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding • Tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing • Set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator • Change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
